"Wow for the first time in my life I feel validated. Dr. Sue is compassionate, genuine and changed my whole life not just with my children. I was hurting. I felt broken for years by not being in touch with my children. I soon learned I was not in touch with myself. I was doing everything based on how much I despised my ex for hurting our family. It was getting me nowhere. Through hard work and the teachings of Dr. Sue I have my life back and my children. I never thought this would ever be possible. I am forever grateful to you Dr. Sue. You are my Angel."

She joined Dr. Sue and You in 2014 to further her passion for helping others experiencing high conflict and alienation situations.

"Finding Dr. Sue and working with Ashley has been a Godsend. I was not able to directly communicate with my 18-year-old daughter for over a year with the exception of email. I had been blocked in every other line of communication. I began working with Ashley in March 2019. We met weekly by phone and followed the plan she set out based on responses we received from either my daughter’s stepmother or my daughter herself. Ashley’s plan helped me avoid impulsive communication based on emotion and allowed me to make myself wait one week before responding. This was very helpful in my overall anxiety over the situation and helped me to be calm and friendly in my communication with my daughter. She agreed to spend the weekend with me at the end of July 2019, and since that time we have regular communication and visits. Our relationship may never be the same as it was when she was 13, but through Ashley’s help, I have my daughter back in my life and could not be more grateful. The investment in my daughter was well worth the money."

Dr. Amy Moore

Doctor of Family Therapy & Relationship Coach

From the time I was a young girl, I had a “knowing” that my life purpose was to help others. In my earliest memories, I remember having deep compassion toward other people’s painful experiences, and as a child, I often felt consumed by the intensity of the emotions I held. I grew up often feeling alienated from, and rejected by my family, determined to help other kids and teens feel supported and cared for.

From early in my career, kids and teens flocked to me, because they felt they were able to talk to me in ways they never had been able to with other professionals I became privy to all the things parents don’t normally get to see.

After 20 years of practicing traditional psychotherapy, I felt limited, and truly out of alignment. I was disappointed with the paradigm for mental health treatment, and believed there HAD TO BE a better way! Informed by my background in traditional psychotherapy, I developed a unique style of Mental Wellness Coaching, that combines trauma-informed psychotherapy and psychoeducation, with a coaching style that helps my clients gain perspective, awareness, and the tools to empower and free them from needless suffering.

Now, I help my clients address all the same fear-based limiting self-beliefs, trauma, and family relationship dynamics and understand the developmental life cycle and cultural contexts.  I am holistically helping my clients, that go above and beyond the traditional model.

My clients are improving more quickly and sustainably, and are experiencing a greater level of lasting self-empowerment.

Dr. Amy received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), and her Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) from Drexel University in Couple and Family Therapy.

Amy was so instrumental in helping our family. We have gone to her multiple times for guidance to make sure we are on the right path. We struggled with anxiety and depression. Amy always showed empathy and compassion and never judged us. My daughter continues to keep in touch with her. We love Amy like she is part of our family.”
